We held a club fun night on Friday 18th May, it was a fun competition which consisted of 4 categories and all skaters were asked to choreograph their own routines to their choice of music and costumes.  The categories were Solo, Duo, Groups under 4 and Groups over 5. We were also raising money for John's Club, and a large group of their members came along to watch and had an amazing time. We raised £460 on the door entries and we hope they have made lots more money from their raffle which is being drawn on the 1st June. We started the night with a group of skaters that performed to Lady Gaga's `Born this Way' the routine was choreographed by our Coaches Georgia and Tom and we were honoured to have two of Johns Club who were pushed around on the ice in their wheelchairs who absolutely loved it. All our skaters that took part were winners as they all entered into the spirit of competition. We had 3 judges (Maureen Kershaw, Paula Johnson and Clare Newman) who were marking the skaters for entertainment, originality and effort.  The winners of each category were: Solo: Lauren Wood, Duo: Maggie Read and Archie Bickell, Group under 4: Under the Sea; Hayley Purrington, Lauren Wood, Ayesha Taylor.  Group Over 5: The Wight Fossils; Mandy and Mark Haslam, Carol and Steve Taverner, Martin and Jane Collins, Susan Dell, Janet Button, Alison Wright, Wendy Bluestone and Steve Wood. The judges all choose an overall winner that portrayed the spirit of the competition and the winners were Los Dos Senores; Susan Dell and Janet Button who performed in our Duo category.

After our competition we all walked over to the Balcony where we held our Annual Awards Evening and warm food was waiting after being in the skating rink for 2 hours. We had a great turn out of 150 people, the room was set beautifully in red, white and blue. The coaches got together and choose the categories and winners and they were as follows:
